1. Overview

BarcodeBridge (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is built by Iklosha. We provide catalog barcode auditing, multi-barcode prioritization, and data protection tools for Shopify merchants. We take merchant data privacy and security seriously and build strictly on privacy-by-design principles.

2. Data We Collect & Access

To provide barcode policy management and catalog auditing, BarcodeBridge requests the following Shopify Admin API access scopes:

• read_products: To inspect catalog variant identifiers, SKUs, product titles, and existing barcode fields.
• write_products: To update variant barcode ordering, assign validated barcode types, and restore previous barcodes upon merchant undo requests.

3. Data Storage & Security

Stored data in our encrypted databases is strictly limited to:

• Shop domain (e.g. store.myshopify.com) and active subscription tier.
• Merchant barcode rule preferences (e.g. preferred barcode type such as UPC or EAN, and fallback order).
• Audit results and snapshots for undo history (prior and updated variant barcodes).
• Optional notification email address for monitoring alerts.

4. GDPR & Mandatory Privacy Webhooks

In strict compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and Shopify App Store standards, BarcodeBridge implements all mandatory privacy webhooks:

• customers/data_request: Responds immediately with 200 OK. No customer PII is retained or processed.
• customers/redact: Responds immediately with 200 OK. No customer PII is retained.
• shop/redact: 48 hours after app uninstallation, all merchant configuration, catalog audit history, snapshots, and event logs are permanently deleted from our databases.
